Every day of the week, Neu gives you a choice show and a selection of new music tips, all in the name of exposing you to something new and exciting.
If there’s a gig that’s worth heading to, we’ll tell you all about it, and if there’s a song you need in your life, we’ll make sure you don’t turn a blind eye. It’s the Neu Bulletin.
Wildarms - Full Hearts
Duncan Cooper is a music journalist honing his own, musical craft by writing about others. His fascination of bubblegum pop and ‘90s R&B has been skewed and reinterpreted, absorbed into his own music under the Wildarms moniker. Label beloved Cascine has picked up on Cooper’s tracks, and a debut EP - ‘Clear Eyes’ - is going down well as the perfect companion to isolated evenings seeking escape. Its dreamy ambience is purposefully obtuse, none more so than in opening track ‘Full Hearts’.
OTHER NEU BUSINESS
Yesterday the Beat Pyramid blog gave a fitting introduction to Danish singer Broken Twin. Fitting, in the sense that they nigh on declared it impossible not to fall into a sorry slump of weeping and howling when listening to Majke Voss Romme. By this point, assuming you’ve hit the play button on ‘Out of Air’, you’ll be midway through this tragic process. An exercise in letting your emotions run riot, a listen to Broken Twin is something you should adhere to daily.
