The action film that’s set to unite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone just got an interesting injection of new cast members.
The Tomb, from director Mikael Hafstrom, stars Stallone as a structural security expert framed and locked up in the impenetrable prison he helped design. Schwarzenegger, who was once set to star, is another inmate and a potential ally to Stallone. Jim Caviezel was recently cast as the prison warden.
Variety now report the casting of Amy Ryan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Vinnie Jones and 50 Cent.
The Wire and Gone Baby Gone actress Ryan will play the female lead: ‘Stallone’s business partner and potential love interest’. Full Metal Jacket and Law & Order: Criminal Intent star D’Onofrio is negotiating the deputy director of the Prisons Bureau who convinces Stallone’s character to do that dastardly one last job before he retires.
Footballer turned actor Jones has been cast in a villainous role as a ruthless guard ‘with no moral compass’ who enjoys making life difficult for Stallone. It’s not known what 50 Cent’s role will be.
