In the magazine March 2017
With Circa Waves, Laura Marling, Formation, Dirty Projectors, Creeper and more.
With debut ‘Young Chasers’, Circa Waves quickly found themselves dominating bigger and bigger venues - as well as, obviously, indie dance floors and festival stages across the country. On follow-up ‘Different Creatures’ they’re a whole new beast, introducing massive riffs and heavier sounds with that hell of a knack for a chorus. We find out the story behind it in March’s cover feature.
We talk to Laura Marling about her new record, ‘Semper Femina’, Formation about Beyoncé (obvs), Dirty Projectors’ Dave about going it alone for the act’s self-titled record, and Creeper about that disappearing act that preceded the announcement of debut ‘Eternity, In Your Arms’.
Elsewhere we find out how The Magic Gang and new label boss Felix White got together, meet Goat Girl, Skott and Yellow Days, and look back on Los Campesinos!’ band life via Gareth’s own lyrics.
