The Libertines have announced details of another live date at Glasgow Barrowlands, a now two-night residency ahead of their 5th July headline billing at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.
The band - who performed their ‘final’ show in 2004, before briefly returning in 2010 to play Reading & Leeds Festival - will now play the Scottish venue on 28th June, in addition to the original 29th June gig. Tickets for the new show go on sale at 9am on Friday 20th June.
Their comeback run also includes a recently announced autumn European tour, which will see them visit France, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, and festival appearances at Optimus Alive, Portugal (12th July) and Benicassim Festival, Spain (19th July).
At their Hyde Park gig, they will be joined by The Pogues, Spiritualized, Maximo Park, Wolf Alice and Swim Deep, on a different stage, while support comes from The Enemy, Reverend and The Makers, I Am Kloot, The View, Darlia, The Rifles, Cuckoolander, Brownbear, Raglans and The Twang.
Other headliners already announced for Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park include Arcade Fire, Black Sabbath, McBusted, Neil Young and Tom Jones, with more announcements still to come. Tickets are on sale now.
