It’s over: Crystal Castles split up with Alice Glass leaving the band

Glass cites a “multitude of reasons both professional and personal” for her departure.
Crystal Castles have split up, according to vocalist Alice Glass.
Taking to her personal Twitter account, one-half of the Canadian duo said “this is the end of the band” in a message to fans.
Glass is set to embark on a solo career, according to the statement.
She confirmed the news by stating the following:
“I am leaving Crystal Castles. My art and my self-expression in any form has always been an attempt towards sincerity, honesty, and empathy for others. For a multitude of reasons both professional and personal I no longer feel that this is possible within CC. Although this is the end of the band, I hope my fans will embrace me as a solo artist in the same way they have embraced Crystal Castles.”
The duo of Alice Glass and Ethan Kath last released an album in 2012, with ‘III’.
