Watch Låpsley debut new ‘8896’ track in Maida Vale session

Song is taken from the debut EP, ‘Understudy’.

BBC Sound of 2015 longlister Låpsley has debuted a new track, ‘8896’, via her recent Maida Vale session for BBC Introducing.

The track’s taken from Holly Fletcher’s debut EP, ‘Understudy’, due out next January. It’s the second track to emerge from the release, alongside ‘Falling Short’.

Last month, three recordings from the Maida Vale session surfaced, including a cover of Daniel Bedingfield’s ‘Gotta Get Thru This’. She also played ‘Falling Short’ and early track ‘Station’.

‘Understudy’ is out 5th January on XL Recordings.
