Swept up: Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney suffers pre-UK tour shoulder injury

One half of the duo had to be hospitalised after a swimming accident.
Patrick Carney, drummer and one half of The Black Keys, had to be hospitalised earlier this month after dislocating his shoulder in a swimming accident.
On 3rd January, according to TMZ, Carney was swept up by a giant, powerful wave, where he was shunned against the bottom of the ocean floor.
Carney later took to Instagram to make light of the incident, saying: “Tune into my new lifetime movie. ‘Dislocated shoulder’ airing right now.”
He’ll be set to recover in time for The Black Keys’ headline tour of the UK next month. They’re also co-headlining Isle of Wight fest this summer.
