Staying gold: First Aid Kit release crafty new video for ‘Master Pretender’

The folk sisters also set off on their UK tour today

First Aid Kit have released a video for their song ‘Master Pretender’, taken from the Swedish folk duo’s third LP ‘Stay Gold’. The animated promo sees the sisters in shadowey guises, taking on all sorts; from soaring eagles and galloping wild horses, to outer space astronauts and dragon-slaying knights. The song isn’t too bad, either. The video was created by Simian Design, who have also worked with Rise Against, Ellie Goulding and Jessie J in the past.

First Aid Kit also grace the UK with their presence this month by way of an 11 date tour - which is mostly sold out - before heading back to their native Sweden in February. Support comes from one of South London's best kept alt-pop secrets Kimberly Anne. They kick things off today (January 14) at the Forum in Bath, with the tour finishing up at London’s Eventim Apollo on January 27.

Their full UK tour dates for January 2015 are:

14 Bath, Forum
15 Cardiff, St David's Hall
16 Birmingham, Symphony Hall
17 Cambridge, Corn Exchange
19 Edinburgh, Usher Hall
20 Newcastle, City Hall
21 Nottingham, Royal Concert Hall
