Sky Atlantic have announced a second series of the acclaimed Anglo-French production, The Tunnel.
The Tunnel: Debris - a co-production between Sky Atlantic, CANAL+ Kudos and Shine France - will reunite Stephen Dillane and Clémence Poésy as British detective Karl Roebuck and his French counterpart, Elise Wasserman.
As a passenger plane crashes into the English Channel, Roebuck and Wasserman must investigate on behalf of the UK and France.
Ben Richards (Spooks) will return as lead writer with director Mike Barker (Broadchurch) and producer Julian Stevens (The Fall) joining the production.
Director of Sky Atlantic Zai Bennett said: “Boasting fantastic nuanced performances by Clémence Poésy and Stephen Dillane and a totally gripping story, it is easy to see why the first series of this crime thriller struck a real chord with Sky Atlantic viewers.”
Principle photography on The Tunnel: Debris starts next month in the UK and France.
