Listen: Roots Manuva reveals Four Tet-produced ‘Facety 2:11’ track

The track is the rapper’s first new material since 2013.

Roots Manuva has released his first new material since 2013 EP ‘Banana Skank’ in the form of ‘Facety 2:11’.

The track, produced by Four Tet, is an unrelenting cut which never settles or stays still. Introducing the song, Rodney Smith said: “The saga goes from tangent to tangent here in the primal decibel of infinite tribal dub-wise mutation show me your skank face, let’s get feisty.”

It isn’t known yet whether ‘Facety 2:11’ will feature on a possible new album from the rapper, but it stands up on its own as a mightily impressive return.

Stream the Four Tet-produced ‘Facety 2:11’ via The FADER.

Roots Manuva plays British Summer Time Hyde Park on 20th June, with Blur headlining.
