Sharon Van Etten has shared a new song ‘Just Like Blood’. It arrives ahead of her forthcoming EP ‘I Don’t Want To Let You Down,’ which is out on June 8th via Jagjaguwar. A gloomy, slow-burning, track, ‘Just Like Blood’ slopes along, propelled by bursts of bluesy organ, and surging into restless string half-solos that never quite materialise.
Van Etten’s new EP ‘I Don’t Want To Let You Down’ features guest appearances from Adam Granduciel and Dave Hartley of The War On Drugs. Van Etten self-produced the EP with Stewart Lerman (Sufjan Stevens, David Byrne, St. Vincent) as her co-producer. The EP finishes with a live recording of ‘Tell Me,’ which was previously only available on the expanded version of her third album ‘Tramp’
