Listen: Charli XCX debuts sludgy new track ‘Mow That Lawn’

Is there anything she can’t do? (Answer: almost certainly not.)

If there’s a music style that Charli XCX can’t master, it’s yet to be discovered. Fresh off the back of the bratty punk of ‘Sucker’, and her collaborations with the PC Music crew, our Charli has been playing a new track round Europe on her festival shows in the past few days.

You may have seen a video of ‘Mow That Lawn’ being played in Finland this weekend, but the audio only recording from Positivus in Latvia below is a much clearer recording of the track. Grungy, sludgy, elastic rock about “chilling the fuck out”, it’s proof indeed that Charli is a musical polymath beyond compare.
