Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard releases debut Thunderbitch record

Self-titled release is streaming now in full.

Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard has released her debut album under side-project Thunderbitch. The project also consists of members from Fly Golden Eagle and Clear Plastic Marks, and their first work is streaming in full.

Musically, this ten-track release brings forward a more cocksure, swaggering side to Howard than the one heard on Alabama Shakes’ ‘Sound & Color’, which came out this year. ‘Leather Jacket’ is a thunderous opener, while ‘Very Best Friend’ merges a classic Stateside boozer aesthetic with he artful songwriting.

Get the album on vinyl via the Alabama Shakes site or iTunes.
