UMO best: Unknown Mortal Orchestra share new ‘Can’t Keep Checking My Phone’ video

The visual explores various “strange modern sicknesses and phenomena”.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra have shared the new video for ‘Multi-Love’ single ‘Can’t Keep Checking My Phone’. Starting out with a Jean-Luc Godard-channelling black and white sequence, once the bass line comes in, the colour arrives too, and the clip explores “strange modern sicknesses and phenomena,” according to the band.
Among other phobias, the video touches on everything from Stendhal syndrome (dizziness brought on by looking at a piece of art) and Panphobia (a vague and persistent dread of some unknown evil) to coups d’état and a minor nerve condition called Restless Leg Syndrome.
