Animal Collective are streaming new song ‘Lying in the Grass’, taken from their forthcoming album ‘Painting With’.

A demo version of ‘Lying in the Grass’ was initially available via Animal Collective’s very own app. Fans could create their own bonkers online art, with a snippet of the song playing in the background.

Streaming below, ‘Lying in the Grass’ is a concise glimpse into Animal Collective’s alternative conscience. Avey Tare and Panda Bear’s vocals overlap like nobody’s business, surrounded by light shifting piano patterns and shuffling, playful clarinets.
