JOHN revel in disorientating noise on ‘Cultural Trip’

The bonkers, brilliant duo complete this month’s DIY x Jägermeister Curtain Call show alongside Demob Happy and Kagoule.

Shaky and disorientating, JOHN’s new video for latest single ‘Cultural Trip’ is the perfect appetiser for their ferocious, disorientating punk. Building walls of grizzled noise around a desperate, buried vocal, it’s an absorbing insight into the band’s cacophony.

It’s set for release on an upcoming Alcopop! Records compilation for Record Store Day on 16th April, then digitally on the 25th of that same month.

That’s not all, either: the band have been confirmed as openers for the latest instalment of DIY and Jägermeister’s Curtain Call, where they’ll join Kagoule and Demob Happy at The Old Blue Last.

They’ll be the final act to join this month’s Curtain Call, which sees us continuing to support new bands as they journey to the top. Taking the meaning of ‘the road to success’ quite literally by basing itself on the iconic Curtain Road - home to many iconic labels, studios and venues - Curtain Call is about providing bands the opportunity - whether that be through recording, making videos or playing gigs - to make their next step really count.

The second round of Curtain Call gigs takes place on 23rd February 2016 and tickets for the show are on sale now exclusively from TicketWeb, so snap them up quick. The show is 18+ and ticket holders will be required to bring ID.
