Booking now: Radiohead announce world tour

The new album is probably imminent, too.
Radiohead have announced a full world tour off the back of confirming a load of festival appearances over the last couple of months. Thom Yorke and co. have already announced appearances at Primavera, Summer Sonic, Secret Solstice, and Lollapalooza, among others.
The band have now confirmed a proper tour, which comes along with three dates at London’s Roundhouse! Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday (18th March). “These are all the headline shows that the band will play in 2016,” reads the band’s website. This year Radiohead will play:

In the official statement for Primavera, organisers promised a “presentation of the new album by the British band Radiohead,” leading many to guess that there will be a new Radiohead album before June. Back in November, Radiohead also registered a new company called ‘Dawn Chorus LLP’. They tend to register new companies two or three months before release, as is tradition. With the rumour-mill in overdrive, this full tour is presumably in support of a new, ninth record.
Back in September, the band’s Philip Selway gave an update on progress towards a new record, saying “We’re just launching ourselves into it.” Looks like they’re almost finished, then.
Update: Radiohead have also shared some artwork on twitter. Check it out below.
