Earlier this year, Mumford & Sons played shows in South Africa for the first time, visiting Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria.
Still in the middle of their world tour, they’ve unveiled quite the collaboration. ‘There Will Be Time’ finds them working with Baaba Maal, The Very Best and Beatenberg. It’s a gap year trip in musical form, but bloody hell, listen to what Ben Lovett had to say about the song:
“Baaba opened his mouth, Marcus was like ‘Yeah, that makes me feel really good’”
That’s all you need to know.
Ben also had this to say about new Mumford & Sons material: “We’re already sharing demos and talking about the next record. We’re definitely not looking to take a break,” he says.
Mumfies are set to invite special guests - including Baaba Maal - on stage for their 8th July BST Hyde Park show.
Listen to the collaboration below.
