God Colony and Flohio shove a dagger in the map on ‘SE16’

Today’s Neu Pick comes from a London link-up that barreling forward like few others dare dream of.

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from God Colony and Flohio.

Few hotbeds burn at as high a temperature as South East London. On ‘SE16’, Flohio teams up with fellow capital-dwellers God Colony to focus in on that area of intrigue even more.

Named after the postcode for Bermondsey, Flohio’s home and the setting for ‘SE16”s disorientating music video, it’s a pounding, thick-as-gutter-sludge attempt to pull apart inner city life in the oppressive, ever-sprawling surroundings of London’s southern boroughs.

Fresh from the track’s inclusion in this week’s Neu Bulletin, get a load of the dazzling ‘SE16’ video below as today’s Neu Pick. If she keeps up this pace, Flohio’ll be stratospheric in no time.
