Willie J Healey finds sound in everything in ‘Would You Be’ video

Willie’s latest clip sees him trying his hand at a spot of field recording.

A couple of weeks ago self-styled lo-fi singer-songwriter Willie J Healey unveiled his ramshackle yet thoroughly charming new single ‘Would You Be’.

Of course, a charming song needs a video to match, and he’s pretty much nailed it here. Willie travels around and tries his hand at a bit of field recording while also being filmed for a documentary. Along the way he captures the sounds of an empty pier, crumbs, a rat’s belly, rules, and even human fear.

Apparently Willie hasn’t been seen since he entered the maize maze, but hopefully he’ll turn up soon because he’s supporting Hinds next week. He’ll also be playing a special Christmas show in Oxford next month.

Take a look at his tour dates below and watch the video for ‘Would You Be.’

NOVEMBER
26 Manchester, Academy 2 (with Hinds)
