Watch: BANKS has a nightmarish new video for ‘Trainwreck’

The Lynch and Hitchcock-inspired nightmare toys with gaze and control.
Hot on the heels of releasing her really, really ace second album ‘The Altar,’ BANKS has put out the video for ‘Trainwreck’. It’s quite something, to put things mildly.
Surrounded by an entourage of ghoulish, suit-clad men (who make noises like dog toys, for some reason) BANKS is at the helm of a runaway locomotive for ‘Trainwreck’, sharing the driver’s coach with the sizeable visual influence of Alfred Hitchcock and David Lynch. Watching herself on telly, while being filmed eating a peeled egg (natch) it’s a video that explores the idea of gaze. It’s an uncomfortable, fast-paced nightmare, and BANKS’ most conceptual video to date.
Next month BANKS heads out on a UK and European tour. Full details here.
