Johnny Flynn delivers stripped-back magic on ‘Heart Sunk Hank’

Featuring a 1940s Voice-o-Graph, and more!

Muso-turned-Netflix-star Johnny Flynn has gone back to what he does best and dished up a rather gorgeous slab of intimate, stripped-back folk with new single ‘Heart Sunk Hank’.

Recorded using an old 1940s Voice-O-Graph booth - one of only two remaining in the world - it’s full of the kind of warm, crackling tones reminiscent of the era and makes for an enticing preview to forthcoming LP4 ‘Sillion’ - due March 24th via Transgressive Records.

Flynn’s also taking time out from the acting day job for a jaunt around the UK this Spring.

Divine Intervention: Angel Olsen

For her new opus, ‘Whole New Mess’ finds Angel Olsen looking to the future but reaching back to the past, to an emotionally-purging set of recordings that would lead the singer to her rawest work yet.
