Ride are back again with ‘Home Is A Feeling’

It’s the Oxford shoegazers’ second song in just 24 hours!

Apparently Ride songs are bit like buses. You wait 20 years for one song and then two come along at once!

The Oxford shoegazers returned on Monday with ‘Charm Assault’, their first track in two decades, and they’ve cemented their return by unveiling a second new number, ‘Home Is A Feeling’. It’s described by Andy Bell as coming “closest to the early Ride sound. We felt comfortable going vintage on this tune because the album we are making has a pretty broad sonic scope.” And yep, it does indeed sound like classic, vintage Ride! Nice summation there, Andy!

Mark Gardener said of the new track in a statement: “‘Home Is A Feeling’ to me is like a slow, wide-screen, sonically, layered, slowed motion warm wash. Like returning home as dawn rises totally exhausted and spangled after a long ..long …big, great night out’.”

Both the new track and ‘Charm Assault’ are set to feature on the band’s upcoming new album, which has been produced by Erol Alkan.
