Live spirit: The Dead Weather are releasing a new live album

‘Live At The Mayan’ will also come with a new 7” from the band!
It’s been a little while since we heard anything from The Dead Weather, but Jack White’s been busy with Third Man Records and now he’s putting out a new live album from the band.
‘Live At The Mayan’ is being turned into both a record and a concert film, depicting the time when the group took to the stage at Los Angeles’ Mayan Theater in 2009. The album itself will feature ten tracks including ‘Hang You From The Heavens,’ ‘Treat Me Like Your Mother’ and ‘I Cut Like A Buffalo’ as well as a cover of a Bob Dylan track, ‘New Pony.’
It’s the latest in Third Man’s long-running subscription service, and will come with a brand new 7” from the band (!!) The package will also contain all of The Dead Weather’s singles from the rest of the subscription series. Not a bad deal, that!
See the tracklisting for ‘Live At The Mayan’ and listen to an excerpt from the live version of ‘Hang You From The Heavens’ below. Read our feature with The Dead Weather from back in 2015 here.
