Last night was a bit of a bumper night on Jools, especially if you wanted to see the ‘Big Picture’ but just could wait to see Samuel T Herring strut his stuff once more on the ‘Later’ floor.
Alright, enough Jools-worthy puns. Both Future Islands and London Grammar were guests on ‘Later’ last night, bringing new music to the show. Future Islands (and the aforementioned smooth moves of Mr. Herring) shimmied their way through a rendition of ‘Cave’ from recent album ‘The Far Field.’ Meanwhile, London Grammar continued to preview their upcoming LP ‘Truth Is A Beautiful Thing’ by performing a sublime rendition of their recent, Jon Hopkins-produced single ‘Big Picture.’
Following the triumphant performance, Future Islands have also announced their biggest-ever headline show! They’ll be heading to London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 20th November. Tickets go on general sale next Wednesday (10th May).
Watch the performances from Future Islands and London Grammar below. If you want even more sashaying, emotionally-wrought growling and beautiful truths, there’s an extended version of the show with more tunes airing on Friday (5th May).
