Hello sunshine: Phoenix have shared new track ‘Goodbye Soleil’
The French band’s new album ‘Ti Amo’ is out next week!
Let’s hope this isn’t a prophecy considering the heatwave we’ve been having, eh?
French popsters Phoenix are due to release their new album ‘Ti Amo’ next Friday (yep, just a week to go!) Having already lifted the lid on the shimmering ‘J-Boy’ and energetic title track, they’ve now unveiled another taste of what to expect from the romantic, Italian-inspired new record.
It’s marginally less upbeat than the other cuts we’ve had from ‘Ti Amo’ so far, but ‘Goodbye Soleil’ still somehow feels like a bit of an ironic title. Sure, it’s a bit of a lilting, swooning and reflective number, but it’s also still got vintage synths and a good dose of funked-up guitar in there.
Listen to ‘Goodbye Soleil’ below.
