ESTRONS go back to basics in 'Strobe Lights' video

We also chatted to the band about their plans for 2017.

Last month, ESTRONS shared a real firecracker of a new single in ‘Strobe Lights’, and we’ve got the first play of its new video.

The clip sees the band going back to basics and thrashing the track out in one of their rehearsal spaces. “Make me lose my mind,” vocalist Tali yells, and she hurtles her way through hallways with all the intensity of the track itself.

ESTRONS are set for a huge second half of 2017, first supporting Honeyblood at their massive KOKO show, before lining up a headline tour of their own set for September and October.

We also caught up with the band to chat about the new video and their plans for the rest of the year.

Hi Estrons! How's your 2017 going so far?Writing touring recording writing touring recording, with hard work and drama thrown into the middle of it.

You've got a new video for 'Strobe Lights' - is this your practice space?
One of them. We have used this place since the dawn of our creative time individually so it was nice to have it as a backdrop to our new video - it's a gathering place for the music scene, inside and outside of Wales, which is why we included musicians we knew in the shoot. The song is about the competition between jealousy and love and the catastrophe that happens when a certain one conquers the other.

You recently gave us an ode to your favourite service station, Gloucester Farm - what's on your van playlist right now?

Husky Loops, The Roots, McLusky, Paul Kalkbrenner. Something from every colour of the genre rainbow, as always.

How was it going on the road with Honeyblood? Who was the troublemaker on the tour?

We were actually fairly well-behaved on the Honeyblood run. Spending time with them and their team has actually been some of the most fun we've had on tour so far. The trouble maker is always me though. I have the mental age of a nine year old when it comes to fun...

What can we expect from you for the rest of 2017?

New material, new shows, new surprises.
