Watch Lorde play more ‘Melodrama’ songs live for the first time

‘The Louvre’, ‘Writer In The Dark’ and ‘Supercut’ got live debuts on the album’s release day.

Lorde released her new album ‘Melodrama’ on Friday, and played a special album release show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City the same night.

During the show, she gave live debuts to more tracks from the record. Having already played the likes of ‘Green Light’, ‘Liability’, ‘Sober’, ‘Homemade Dynamite’ and ‘Perfect Places’ on telly and at festival sets, three more cuts from the singer’s second album were previewed.

‘Supercut’, ‘The Louvre’ and an acapella version of ‘Writer In The Dark’ were all given their live debuts, alongside cuts from debut album ‘Pure Heroine’ and previous singles from ‘Melodrama’.

Lorde is set to play this weekend’s Glastonbury Festival, playing the Other Stage just before headliners Major Lazer. She’s also set to come back to the UK in September for a headline run including a massive London gig at Alexandra Palace.
