You’ve heard of ‘Stranger Things’, the hit show that follows a group of pre-teens as they get to grips with the disappearance of their friend and learn of the mysterious Upside Down. But have you heard of the ‘Strangest Thing’?
No it’s not Eleven’s powers, but the brand new track from The War On Drugs! With their new album ‘A Deeper Understanding’ out on 25th August, they’ve already shared a video for lead single ‘Holding On’. Their latest slice isn’t all too strange though – it’s actually another classic War On Drugs cut, complete with Americana-light lilts, powerful piano chords, vintage riffs and emotional vocals. There is a bit of soaring synth in there too though, just to keep you on your toes.
In November, The War On Drugs will be heading back to the UK to play a string of shows in Glasgow, Manchester and London, recently adding new dates to cope with popular demand. Tickets for all the dates are on sale now.
