Flying Lotus has been pretty busy in the film world lately. Not only has he released his own movie ‘Kuso’, but a couple of months back he also appeared in a new short by ‘Salad Fingers’ creator David Firth.
Now he’s revealed that’s he’s behind the score to a new animated short, where he’s also recruited Kuedo and Miguel Atwood Ferguson. Connected to the upcoming ‘Blade Runner 2049’ sequel, ‘Blade Runner 2022’ has been written and directed by Shinichiro Watanabe (the man behind cult classic anime ‘Cowboy Bebop’).
Taking to Twitter, FlyLo said: “When I saw a rough cut of 2022 the temp music was from my past albums. Seeing Blade Runner imagery set to my music was a beautiful feeling”.
He continued: “Doing something with Watanabe was a dream of mine. Cowboy Bebop is one of the greatest!”
