It’s been a couple of years since Jagwar Ma released their ace album ‘Every Now And Then’, which we described as being “surprisingly direct”.
Now, the band’s Jono Ma has teamed up with Australian dance producer Dreems, and they’re set to unveil a new collaborative EP. ‘The Dreemers’ is coming out on 19th January via Kompakt and, as a taste of what to expect, they’ve shared new one ‘I Can’t Stop My Dreaming (Of You)’.
The track has flashes of Jagwar Ma’s style, while propelling itself mostly on stuttering, techno-inspired synthpop, a repeated refrain and clattering percussive elements.
When Jagwar Ma released ‘Every Now And Then’ back in 2015, we caught up with them to chat about it. Revisit the chat here.
