The fourth Ally Coalition Talent Show – organised by Jack Antonoff, his former fun. bandmates and his sister Rachel – took place in New York recently to help raise funds for at-risk LGBTQ youth and homelessness.
As well as welcoming members of The National, Spoon, Shamir, Kacey Musgraves and others, Lorde was also a performer on the night, and she teamed up with Jack for a version of Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Run Away With Me’, which was captured by fans. They also took to the stage together for a version of Roy Orbison’s ‘You Got It’. As reported by Pitchfork, on the night Jack also paid tribute to the late Cranberries vocalist Dolores O’Riordan.
Last year, both Lorde and Carly Rae joined Bleachers on MTV Unplugged, where they performed ‘Hate That You Know Me’ and ‘Don’t Take The Money’. Last year we also caught up with Jack to talk about the latest Bleachers album. Catch up with the full interview here.
