Dama Scout released their stellar self-titled EP last November and now they’re kicking off 2018 with a new video for their track ‘Toothache’, which they previously described as being “about hiding things from the people you care about the most”.
The clip uses recycled footage pieced together with a lo-fi haze. Look closely enough and you might recognise some of the scenes involved… Speaking of the video, the band said: “We have developed a through line where each of our videos will call back to the previous one, fragments here and there that build a sense of something phantasmagorical”.
They continued: “In the video for ‘Toothache’ we took this further, solely experimenting with recycled footage. The result is something like a discarded VHS of weird late-night TV. There is some rudimentary animation, collage and glitch art. As with the song - the video came together naturally without overthought”.
Dama Scout are also set to play a headline show at The Waiting Room in London on 31st January. Tickets are on sale now.
