On the telly: Watch The Voidz play ‘Leave It In My Dreams’ on Fallon
Julian Casablancas and co are releasing ‘Virtue’ in March.
The Voidz (formerly known as Julian Casablancas + The Voidz) are currently gearing up to release the follow up to 2014’s ‘Tyranny’.
‘Virtue’ is coming out on 30th March via RCA and recently they’ve shared a couple of new tracks from it, which will join previously-heard track ‘Wink’ on the record. One was ‘QYURRYUS’, and the other was ‘Leave It In My Dreams’, which we described as “a hyper melodic, classic Casablancas gem. Able to sit easily alongside any of the better tracks from more synthetic 2011 Strokes LP ‘Angles’, it forsakes the abrasiveness of The Voidz’ previous work in favour of something altogether warmer”.
It was that track that they recently took to ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ and yep, all of that classic Casablancas came to the fore in a performance that was mostly laid-back but showed flashes of raw intensity.
