It’s been quite the period of transformation for Calvin Harris. Once everybody’s favourite star-hoody wearing Scot - famed for ‘Acceptable in the 80s’ - he’s morphed into a hunky creator of LA-flavoured dance cruisers by stealth, and now he’s served up yet another banger.
Featuring Canadian rapper PARTYNEXTDOOR, ‘Nuh Ready Nuh Ready’ comes with a well weird video to match, and according to our Calv, represents a move away from the smooth, palm-tree funk of his stonking latest album ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1’.
“I’m going to release more and also I’m taking it one song at a time,” Calvin Harris told Zane Lowe on his Beats1 show. “The songs are all going to be based on dance music because I love it again…I basically took a year off dance music when I did all the funk stuff [on ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1’].
“I’m sorry, but some of the best producers in the world are EDM,” he added.
