Listen: Westerman shares new track ‘Confirmation’
It’s a textured, thoughtful tune from the London-based singer-songwriter.
After sharing ‘Lie’ last year, London-based Westerman is back with a new track!
‘Confirmation’ balances Westerman’s thoughtful writing style with pop sensibilities, as slightly twisted and warped melodies wrap themselves around his vocals. It’s layered with piano and tricky guitar lines, as well as a few more ambient synths.
According to Westerman, the track is about not “trying too hard when actually the best ideas come when you’re just going with it. It’s a self critique as well as an exploration of a wider point regarding the debilitating risks of having too many things going on internally and externally”.
