Watch: Ezra Furman gets animated in his ‘Suck The Blood From My Wound’ video
It’s been directed by Beth Jeans Houghton, aka Du Blonde!
Ezra Furman released his latest album ‘Transangelic Exodus’ back in February and in the lead up to its release he shared ‘Suck The Blood From My Wound’.
Now he’s got an animated new video for the clip, directed by Beth Jeans Houghton aka Du Blonde. It’s a cel-shaded odyssey that sees Ezra becoming an escapee from hospital (with a very colourful cast of characters starring alongside him).
In a press release, Beth said: “The video is a cel animation comprising of hundreds of illustrations, each frame hand drawn. I chose to do individual watercolour paintings for the backgrounds to add more depth and life. I’ve gone through over 120 pencils and my hands have swollen to the size of pizzas”.
Ezra is also going on a string of UK tour dates in May. Tickets for all the dates are on sale now.
