Taking to the stage at London’s Royal Albert Hall as part of the iconic annual BBC Proms series, Sharon Van Etten recently joined the Heritage Orchestra for a truly epic cover of LCD Soundsystem’s emotional classic ‘New York I Love You, But You’re Bringing Me Down’.
The performance was part of a special gig entitled ‘New York: Sound Of A City’, which saw various modern musicians including Hercules & Love Affair and serpentwithfeet perform a range of tracks “celebrating the music of a modern New York”.
LCD Soundsystem themselves, meanwhile, have spent the summer playing a small number of gigs continuing their ‘American Dream’ tour. They also released a remix record of the album earlier this year.
