Melbourne’s Oh Pep! share video for atmospheric anthem ‘Hurt Nobody’

Today’s Neu Pick for the track taken from the band’s upcoming LP ‘I Wasn’t Only Thinking About You’.

Melbourne’s Oh Pep! are releasing their new album ‘I Wasn’t Only Thinking About You’ next month via ATO Records, and we’re sharing the video for its latest track ‘Hurt Nobody’ as today’s Neu Pick.

The song is an atmospheric anthem that builds slowly, with stormy beats slowly gathering around harmonised, breathy vocals until it comes to a cacophonous end.

The video perfectly recreates the grandeur of the song, with a woman escaping a night terror to dance amongst some pretty astonishing landscapes.

Speaking of the new clip, the band’s Liv says: “This was written during a bomb cyclone in New York last winter by myself and Doug Schadt. I was traveling from Manhattan to Brooklyn for the session, wondering if they were going to keep the subways and bridges open and if I’d be able to get back. There was an eerie, but thrilling feeling in the air that day, kind of apocalyptic; writing in a warm studio with a bomb cyclone outside.”

The band are set to play a host of November tour dates, first touring across Europe with fellow Aussies Middle Kids, before playing a headline show in London at The Islington.
