Listen Gerard Way continues the Britpop channelling on new track ‘Getting Down The Germs’

It follows last month’s ‘Baby You’re A Haunted House’.
Following last month’s Halloween-themed track ‘Baby You’re A Haunted House’, former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has shared another new song.
‘Getting Down The Germs’ continues his Britpop-channelling ways, with a riff that would sit right at home in Blur’s ‘90s work. In short, it’s great.
Of the track Gerard says: “I had really been wanting a song that featured the flute prominently for quite some time. It sits in there perfectly, like it was made to pay the song a visit. The whole song reminds me of wiggling squiggling wormy germs. It’s a very calm affair that shows a peek into where I may be heading musically. I hope you enjoy it. It was fun to make.”
The tracks are Gerard’s first new material since ace solo debut ‘Hesitant Alien’, released back in 2014.
