An undisputed highlight of the record was single ‘When I’m With Him’, and it’s now got a new version courtesy of none other than Perfume Genius!
A kind-of cover version, the track sees Mike Hadreas take lead vocals, but was produced in tandem with Lorely Rodriguez (Empress Of), so is more of a collaboration.
The new version strips away the driving percussion of the original, giving way to a more sparse and atmospheric version.
Empress Of is set to bring ‘Us’ to the UK later this year for three headline shows including a London gig at Scala.
