News SOAK shares new track, ‘Déjà Vu’

The song features on forthcoming album ‘Grim Town’.
Having announced she’d be releasing a follow-up to 2015’s ‘Before We Forgot How To Dream’ back in January, SOAK has shared another track from the record, ‘Grim Town’, which is set to hit shelves on 26th April.
‘Déjà Vu’ follows ‘Everybody Loves You’ and ‘Valentine Schmalentine’. It comes with a video directed by Brother Willis.
He explains his goal “was to make a disconnected and confusing performance video, one that recasts Bridie as both performer, then observer, and back and forth in dreamlike messiness. I have a bit of an obsession with vintage TV talk show musical performances and tend to have lots of ‘work’ dreams. Familiarly confusing dream structure and absurdity that vaguely resembles a film set. So that’s the starting point here: a dream talk show performance - ambiguous and confusing.”
SOAK has the following UK and Ireland live dates lined up:
MAY
6 Kendal Library
10 Manchester Band on the Wall
11 Leeds Wardrobe
12 Glasgow King Tut’s
14 Birmingham Hare & Hounds
15 Oxford O2 Academy
16 Bristol Thekla
17 London Islington Assembly Hall
28 Cork Live at St Luke’s
29 Limerick Dolans
