London newcomer Lucy Lu has returned with new single ‘Crucial’.
The track follows a performance at DIY’s Hello 2019 series at The Old Blue Last in London back in January, in which we said that the singer - real name Luke Bower - perfected “heady neo-jazz” that “already feels confident and complex.”
This is taken to its extremes on ‘Crucial’, which follows a debut EP from last summer.
The release of ‘Crucial’ comes alongside the announcement of a new London headline show.
Lucy Lu will headline the Camden Assembly on 11th June.

WE’VE GOT A FAVOUR TO ASK
We’re often asked about you, our readers. So we’d really appreciate it if you’d offer up a bit of information about you, and your music-loving habits by filling in our 2019 readers’ survey.
(Don’t worry, none of what we’re asking for is personally identifiable - and no questions are compulsory.)
