Listen Tegan and Sara share new track ‘Don’t Believe The Things They Tell You (They Lie)’

The track gets taken from their forthcoming new album ‘Hey, I’m Just Like You’.
Ahead of the release of their new album later this month, Tegan and Sara have shared their new track ‘Don’t Believe The Things They Tell You (They Lie)’.
The track gets taken from their ninth studio album ‘Hey, I’m Just Like You’, which is set for release on 27th September. Their upcoming album, and memoir ‘High School’, are all based on the twin sisters looking back at important moments in their lives, telling the story of their formative years.
Speaking of the track, Sara says: “Our mother tells a story about watching the 1980s television show ‘Punky Brewster’ with us when we were four years old. The episode’s morality tale focused on lying, and near the end of the show, she describes one of us climbing onto her back, sobbing into her neck and confessing a lie we’d told her earlier in the day. At 15, we started telling lies again, and we absolved ourselves constantly in the lyrics of our songs.”
Alongside the new song, Tegan and Sara have also announced details of three UK shows, scheduled for this November. The dates are as follows.
