In one of the weirdest years for music ever, it’s time to have a bit of a celebration and look back on 12 of the best albums of the last year. That’s right, the 2020 Hyundai Mercury Prize shortlist been announced!
Confirmed by Lauren Laverne this morning, the noms include Laura Marling, Dua Lipa, Porridge Radio, Sports Team, Kano, Anna Meredith, Georgia, Lanterns On The Lake, Moses Boyd, Charli XCX, Stormzy and Michael Kiwanuka.
This year’s shortlisted albums were decided by a panel which featured the likes of Anna Calvi, Jorja Smith and Gaz Coombes.
