“I came to realise the gift and curse of an overthinking mind haunts all of us creatives,” TaliaBle says of the song. “There was a time before lock down where a lot of people around me felt quite low, this verse was really just capturing all of those conversations I had with friends about self doubt and storing bad bugs in our thoughts and displaying it for all to see and relate to. The verse itself doesn’t illiterate a solution to an overthinking mind but the pure fact of sharing it with others feels like a shedding of skin to me.”
“When [hai].keem sent me the beat, I knew I had to not overthink it too much and just let my honest release push through on this one,” Osquello adds. “I was at a point where I was angry at the amount of attention given to me when I was appreciated by a huge publication but whenever I was making raw honest music, usually jazz, no one would respect it if it didn’t have a big publication attached. I wanted this to be a reflection of the daze we get into when we’re hyped up in our glory and clout and how blind it can make us to truly appreciate the real art behind everything.”
