alt-J are set to celebrate 10 years of debut album ‘An Awesome Wave’ at a Brixton Academy show next month.
The trio, who released fourth album ‘The Dream’ back in February, will play their debut album in full at the show on 17th May, which comes ahead of two existing Brixton gigs on the back of the new record.
“To celebrate the ten year anniversary of the album that changed our lives, we are thrilled to announce an extra show at Brixton Academy where we will play An Awesome Wave in full,” the band said in a statement.
“We know how much this record means to our fans and can’t wait to turn back the clock to 2012 with them in London’s best venue.”

Elsewhere on the bill, alt-J, Phoebe Bridgers and Haim all lined up for the bumper Madrid event.
The band are set to tour new album ‘The Dream’ across the UK from next week.
alt-J have spent the past decade Trojan-horsing the mainstream, and with new LP ‘The Dream’, the trio are sticking up two fingers to the naysayers and celebrating their curious niche with gusto.
Its strength is in packing not just alt-J’s usual futuristic twist, but a heavy side serving of nostalgia too.
