With ‘Titanic Rising’ acting in the first of a trilogy of releases and following the doom to come, Weyes Blood’s newest is about “being in the thick of it”, with its future follow-up being about hope.
“We’re in a fully functional shit show,” Natalie Mering says. “My heart is a glow stick that’s been cracked, lighting up my chest in an explosion of earnestness.”
Sharing new track ‘It’s Not Just Me, It’s Everybody’ alongside the news, Natalie describes the song as “a Buddhist anthem, ensconced in the interconnectivity of all beings, and the fraying of our social fabric.”
