Brolin Unveils New ‘Reykjavik’ Track, Produced By Luke Abbott

An EP release is prepped on Double Denim Records for March 2013.

Masked romantic-pop prince Brolin has shared details of a forthcoming EP on Double Denim Records (Amateur Best, Outfit), with the lead track ‘Reykjavik’ being unveiled today.

The ‘Cundo’ EP is released 25th March on 12’ vinyl and digitally on the label.

‘Reykjavik’ was produced by David Pye and the legendary Luke Abbott, lending the song a propulsive style that steers an otherwise sentiment-filled track into tense, entrancing territory.

‘I will leave the lights on / If you ask me to stay’ goes the multi-layered vocal, a far cry from the ‘bedroom producer”s early efforts; the foggy idleness of ‘NYC’ and the gorgeous follow-up ‘Another Year’.

Brolin played Neu’s ‘Hello 2013’ showcase in London last January. See photos and a review of the night here.
