Listen: Katy B Streams New Single, ‘Crying For No Reason’

Proper ‘ballad’ from ‘Little Red’ makes Katy’s second album even more exciting.

Out of the singles unveiled from Katy B’s ‘Little Red’ album, they’ve all felt like one event, gradually unfolding. ‘5 AM’ and ‘What Love Is Made Of’ were heated up, club-centric tracks, the middle of a night in full flow. ‘I Like You’ was the lights going out, the heady journey home.

‘Crying For No Reason’ is the part where Katy gets struck by reality. ‘I’ve been shoving problems to the back of my mind,’ she admits, on top of a siky synth backdrop & within a song that could easily be classed as a ‘full on ballad’. It showcases a different side to ‘Little Red’; maybe the part where Katy feels more ‘Little’ than she actually is (even though she is admittedly quite small in height. Ok).
